While each specialization focuses on strengthening a particular area of a druid's repertoire, all druids are capable of using [ Cat Form ] and [ Bear Form ] , dealing physical and ranged magical damage, healing targets and using numerous other abilities.

The druid's most notable ability is shapeshifting into different forms. These following forms can be obtained when reaching a certain level: [ Moonkin Form ] Balance specialization only , [ Cat Form ] , [ Bear Form ] , and [ Travel Form ] which increases speed in a form appropriate to the location used, whether it be land, water, or flying allowed.

Many abilities are restricted to a certain form. Others have different forms or effects depending on the druid's form when it is used. Because Cat Form and Bear Form use energy and rage, respectively, rather than mana, druid abilities that use mana cannot be used by druids when they are in these forms. However, druids can quickly shift between forms to gain access to desired abilities.

If you shapeshift while wearing any disguise , your form buff will remove the disguise buff. This is because it has a blanket effect and can cause unexpected bugs when two buffs are stacked.

Items like the [ Noggenfogger Elixir ] were changed in to not stack with Druid forms so that it would not cause any future problems. Subsequent issues have arisen, such as the jet-pack required for Gunship Battle , giving the message "Cannot use whilst shape-shifted".

Comment by One thing I will say is that I've come to love the Feral and Restoration combo; Feral because you can move around your target and if your in a duel or PvP, you can confuse your subject and mess them up. It was until my friend told me about this class I was hesitant to play because I had already made a night elf I had a thing back then to try out a different race rather than stick with just one , but then I made her, specced her in Feral and Restoration, and never looked back. She is now my main I use for just about everything, and was also the first character I got both a complete set of armor and transmogs too still working on it a bit.

Oh, and also got to 90 all on my own, questing and dungeons with no heirlooms in a matter of 5 months. With Balance I tend to not like the eclipse mechanics. Almost every quest that involves picking something up can be done in flight form.

You can be a cat anywhere, including places where you can't mount, like most dungeons. Like a Rogue, I can sneak into a dungeon, cave, etc. Just switch to swimming form, let your breath re-set, then go back to the form that you were using for fighting. Sometimes I do this on purpose just for fun - I'll jump off a high spot in human or cat form, but switch to flight form halfway down.

As long as I don't get hit by a lag spike, I can cheat death. If you go Travel Form, then activate Prowl , you'll end up stealthing in Human form, and you're also able to use cat abilities as a human.
